How far along: 36 weeks (only 4 weeks to go!)
Baby's size: baby is gaining an ounce a day, baby weighs about 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long.
What baby is up to (according to Babycenter.com):
She's shedding most of the downy hair that covered her body, as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Next week, your baby will be considered full-term. Most likely she's in a head-down position, but if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an external cephalic version, where she'll try to turn your baby by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.
Symptoms: fatigue, some heartburn, frequent urination
Total Weight Gain: 33 pounds
Best moment since last update: we're almost ready for baby - just need to pack our bags and put the car seat in the car :)
Movement: yep! The baby gave me quite the punch in the bladder on our way home saturday evening!
Food cravings: fruit, milk
What I miss: having shoes that fit, easily getting out of bed
What I'm looking forward to: meeting our little one and finding out if it's a boy or girl :)
Update on students' votes: 17 say boy and 12 say girl
