How far along: 24 weeks - only 16 more to
go (that sounds so soon!)
Baby's size: the baby is just over 1 pound and has grown to almost a footlong (picture an ear of corn)
What baby is up to (according to Babycenter.com):
His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.
Symptoms: nothing major, some trouble with sleeping at night
Total Weight Gain: not sure
Best moment since last update: Joel seems to understand what it means when I say the baby is “kicking”. He started lightly kicking on my tummy and said “baby”. He also asked if the baby has ears J

Movement: yep! Feeling the baby more and more – this baby really likes my right side
Food cravings: nothing specific
What I miss: sleeping comfortably/through the night
What I'm looking forward to: Christmas!
