How far along: 29 weeks
Baby's size: baby weighs 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel
What baby is up to (according to Babycenter.com):
His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is getting bigger to accommodate his growing brain – which is busy developing billions of neurons. Every day, about 200 milligrams of calcium is deposited in your baby's skeleton, which is now hardening. With this rapid growth, it's no surprise that your baby's nutritional needs reach their peak during this trimester.
Symptoms: some swelling in my hands and feet in the mornings or evenings
Total Weight Gain: not sure
Best moment since last update: Joel is potty trained!!
Movement: yep! My bladder has been a favorite spot this week
Food cravings: snow cream J
What I miss: nothing comes to mind this week
What I'm looking forward to: cleaning out the guest room so we can paint J
