How far along: 36 weeks (only 4 weeks to go!)
Baby's size: baby is gaining an ounce a day, baby weighs about 6 pounds (like a Crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long.
What baby is up to (according to Babycenter.com):
She's shedding most of the downy hair that covered her body, as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Next week, your baby will be considered full-term. Most likely she's in a head-down position, but if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an external cephalic version, where she'll try to turn your baby by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.
Symptoms: some hip pain and mild swelling
Total Weight Gain: not sure
Best moment since last update: we had one last trip before baby comes - we visited with Mamaw and Papaw and Maw and Pappy.
Movement: yep!
Food cravings: nothing specific
What I miss: having shoes that fit, easily getting out of bed
What I'm looking forward to: meeting our little one and finding out if it's a boy or girl :)
